NCIS legend Gibbs’ code of conduct: 12 rules that define his legacy
Mark Harmon portrayed Gibbs and was among the last of the original NCIS cast, having been part of the series from the start. His swan song came in 2021 during the fourth episode of the 19th season, titled “Great Wide Open,” which saw Gibbs retire to the tranquility of Alaska. Yet, his influence persists through his famed 91 rules, many of which remain shrouded in mystery.

Gibbs imparted wisdom via voiceover in the third episode of NCIS: Origins, which delves into his early tenure at the Naval Criminal Investigative Service. “My wife believed we all should have a code to live by, a set of rules,” he reflected, reports the Mirror US.
“And I believed in her. So for years, I wrote my own rules down on napkins, scraps of paper. I followed all of them to the letter.”
