Classic Kevin Costner film to leave Netflix in April

Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves (1991), starring Kevin Costner in the titular role, will be removed from the streaming platform on April 1, 2025. Directed by Kevin Reynolds, this film reimagines the legendary outlaw’s tale, offering a mix of action, romance, and heroism set in 12th-century England.

The movie follows Robin Hood, a nobleman turned outlaw, who returns to England after fighting in the Crusades. Upon his return, he finds his land taken by the corrupt Sheriff of Nottingham (played by Alan Rickman) and the English crown in turmoil.

As Robin embarks on a quest for justice, he forms an alliance with an unlikely group of companions, including the skilled and fearless Little John (Nick Brimble), the wise and pious Friar Tuck (Michael McShane), and the fiercely loyal Will Scarlett (Christian Slater).

Together, they wage a rebellion against the Sheriff’s tyranny, while Robin also seeks to reclaim his ancestral home and win the heart of the fair Lady Marian (Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio).
