ABC Sets Holiday Programming Including Kevin Costner, ‘CMA Country Christmas’ & ‘Dancing With The Stars’ Specials, Returning ‘Home Alone’, NBA & More

ABC has unveiled its holiday programming schedule, which includes a new Dancing With The Stars special, as well as Kevin Costner‘s The First Christmas, CMA Country Christmas special from Nashville and the ever-popular New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest, among many others.

From The Wonderful World of Walt Disney, we’ll also see holiday favorite films The Sound Of Music, The Santa Clause and Home Alone, which, since its debut on ABC holiday programming in 2022, has been highest-rated movie on any network among Adults 18-49 across the entire year and was last year’s most co-viewed movie of the holiday season on broadcast television, according to Nielsen stats provided by the network. We’ll also see the broadcast debut of new Christmas special Prep & Landing: The Snowball Protocol.

Heading into 2026, New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest returns, which last year was the most co-viewed entertainment special on broadcast television, according to Nielsen.

ABC will also nationally broadcast a full day of NBA action on Christmas Day. Additionally, a special edition of Inside the NBA will air from 7:30-8 p.m. All five games will also be available to watch on ESPN.
