‘Hitting the beach in a war:’ Kevin Costner arrives to Myrtle Beach Classic Pro-Am
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WPDE) — Hollywood came to the Grand Strand today as stars joined professional golfers for the OneFlight Myrtle Beach Classic Pro-Am tournament.
The Dunes Golf and Beach Club welcomed several celebrities to the greens today.
Actor Kevin Costner then made quite the entrance, arriving by helicopter. He shared his unique first impression of the Myrtle Beach area.
“Well, I came out here on a jet helicopter, I guess they thought I’d be late. So when I got on, they put me on a helicopter, and put headphones on me, and I landed somewhere on somebody’s yard, so what do you think of the impression of Myrtle Beach is? It’s like hitting the beach in a war, the only thing is everybody is very friendly,” Costner said.
