Kevin Costner Is Reconnecting With Ex-Wife Amid Divorce Heartbreak
Actor Kevin Costner has reconnected with his ex-wife Cindy Silva Costner to help him get through the pain of his divorce from Christine Baumgartner.
That’s according to sources who spoke to Daily Mail, which described the actor as heartbroken by his second divorce.
Costner and Silva were married from 1978 through 1994, People reported. The divorce cost him $80 million, according to People.
According to Daily Mail, Silva is remarried to a business executive named Larry Ameen and has been for 20 years. She lives in California.
“He (Costner) really appreciates that their sad split has led to such a beautiful friendship. She is an ally and offers great advice. He leans on her quite often,” the source added to Daily Mail.
The former couple has three kids together. Costner also has three kids with Baumgartner and another son from a third relationship.
“Often they get together for the kids’ birthdays and are able to spend quality time together. It’s all very amicable and friendly,” the source told Daily Mail, saying that Costner “still has love for Cindy.”
In 1989, Costner described his first date with Silva to People, saying, “She was beautiful. She was sweet. She was smarter than me … she represented everything about women that I like. I was just really proud that this girl would go out with me. I wanted to show my parents.”
