Mark Harmon to make rare ‘NCIS: Origins’ appearance and Gibbs is ‘no longer alone’
“NCIS” legend Mark Harmon is bringing his OG Leroy Jethro Gibbs character to the prequel series “NCIS: Origins,” and he’s not coming alone.
Harmon, 74, will make a rare guest appearance on “Origins” as Gibbs, the character he played for 18 “NCIS” seasons, during the first crossover event between the two CBS dramas on Veteran’s Day, Nov. 11 (starting 8 ET/PT)

Four years ago, Gibbs disappeared to Alaska to live a life of solitude,” executive producers David J. North and Gina Lucita Monreal said in a statement. “We know how much fans have missed seeing Mark and have wondered what Gibbs is up to today. We don’t want to give too much away, but let’s just say Gibbs is no longer alone.”
