Fans of the actor know he’s become a household name for his portrayal of Leroy Jethro Gibbs on NCIS. While Mark exited the CBS drama back in 2021, he’s continued to play the role in a voiceover manner on NCIS: Origins. But when viewers learned that Mark would return to the franchise and film scenes for an epic crossover event on November 11, 2025, they were immediately curious about what Gibbs had been up to over the years.

Thanks to an Instagram post from NCIS on November 6, viewers got a preview of Mark back in the role that put him on the TV map. The clip shows Gibbs sitting at home, writing notes from an old case in a notebook and seemingly teasing his involvement with the NCIS teams, past and present.
