NCIS: Tony & Ziva Filming Start & Cast Details Revealed, Including Tali
Filming is underway for NCIS: Tony & Ziva, with the spinoff revealing its supporting cast members, and announcing who will play Tali. In the ten-episode upcoming Paramount+ drama, from showrunner and executive producer John McNamara, Tony DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly) and Ziva David (Cote de Pablo) are raising their daughter together, but when Tony’s security company is attacked, the couple finds themselves on the run in Europe. They try to figure out the culprit, learning to trust each other again in hopes of finally getting their happy ending.
Paramount+ has now unveiled details behind who will be joining lead stars and executive producers Weatherly and de Pablo, with filming underway in Budapest. Isla Gie will portray the twelve-year-old Tali, and the NCIS: Tony & Ziva cast will also include Amita Suman, Maximilian Osinski, Nassima Benchicou, Julian Ovenden, Terence Maynard, Lara Rossi, and James D’Arcy. The news comes just a week after Weatherly seemingly confirmed filming had begun on his Instagram.
Beginning with Gie, who previously played Child Zelda in The Sandman, her role as Tali is described as being a precocious 12-year-old daughter. According to the official description of the NCIS: Tony & Ziva character, Tali “is sick of being treated like a child.” She’s also described as being more intuitive and vigilant than she’s given credit for, and she’s ready to prove it. The second actor listed after Gie is Shadow and Bone alum Amita Suman, who plays the Chief Technical Officer in Tony’s security firm Claudette.
